Empowering Through Knowledge: Our Education Resources

Access to Education: Key to Success

It is the commitment and goal of the Nebraska Commission on Latino-Americans to increase the awareness of, and participation in, educational opportunities and services within communities across Nebraska. Over the years, we've seen an increase in student and parental involvement in the Annual Hispanic/Latino Educational Summit, founded by the Commission in 2006. We continue to work to identify factors and issues that have contributed to the increase in the educational attainment gap seen in the Hispanic/Latino student population. Thus, we continue to actively participate in the P-16 initiative to combat these important and very real concerns.
