Family Housing Advisory Services (FHAS)

Family Housing Advisory Services provides homebuyer education, foreclosure prevention services, financial management services, tax assistance, and individual development account services. They assist in moving homeless individuals to emergency shelters and permanent housing, and help with connecting them with housing subsidies, rental assistance, meals, clothing, income sources, and other community resources. Participants receive tenant education, housing search assistance, and budgeting to prepare for housing, and move toward self-sufficiency. FHAS also serves as a fair housing center, ensuring equal access to housing for all, through education and outreach, investigation of fair housing complaints, and direct assistance to ensure compliance.
