Originally known as the Hispanic Community Center, El Centro was founded in 1982, and became a non-profit 501(c)(3) in 1983. In the last 33 years, they have provided services in the areas of education, family support, strengthening of youth, health, domestic violence, and general support to the Latino and immigrant community. Additional programs include GED classes in Spanish, Latina Leaders, and Joven Noble that is offered to teens at-risk.
