Aida Evans relocated to the United States in 1995 with the aim of providing a better life for her children. Upon arrival, she encountered difficulties in accessing resources for learning the English language. Determined to overcome this obstacle, she enrolled in the Head Start Literacy program and subsequently worked as a teacher's aide. Her dedication further led her to acquire positions within the Even Start program and later the Nebraska Migrant Education Program, where she serves as a regional recruiter. Her commitment to serving migrant families and facilitating their connection with essential services remains unwavering. Beyond this scope, she has also actively contributed to the community by participating in organizations such as the Hastings Chamber of Commerce, the CASA board of directors, and the Nebraska Commission on Latino Americans.
