On November 1, 2025, we were proud to participate in the Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) celebration held at the Nebraska History Museum from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event brought together community members of all ages to honor and learn about one of Mexico’s most vibrant and meaningful traditions.

The celebration focused on educating visitors about the cultural and historical significance of Día de los Muertos, a time to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones who have passed. Through colorful displays, art, and storytelling, attendees gained a deeper appreciation for the customs and symbolism that make this holiday so special.

Our team contributed by offering hands-on arts and crafts activities for children, encouraging them to explore the creativity and meaning behind traditional Day of the Dead imagery such as ofrendas (altars) and Papel picado (decorative paper banners). To add an authentic flavor to the day, we also served traditional pan de Muerto, giving visitors a delicious taste of this important cultural celebration.

The event was a wonderful opportunity to share the richness of Mexican heritage, promote cross-cultural understanding, and bring our community together in remembrance and joy. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the celebration a success!
